The Eighth Annual DPHA Conference and Product Showcase October 16–18, 2009The Eighth Annual DPHA Conference and Product Showcase was held October 16 through 18, 2009 at the Broadmoor Hotel and Resort in Colorado Springs, CO. These awards honor the crème de la crème of products released on or after July 1 of the previous year that are at the forefront of design and innovation in upscale plumbing and hardware. This year the DPHA called in media and marketing luminaries to judge award nominees. These judges work for — and in some cases founded — such leading decorative plumbing and hardware publications and companies as KITCHEN & BATH DESIGN NEWS, Hospitality Design (HD) magazine, The Architect’s Newspaper, Dwell and Sphere Trending. The Decorative Plumbing & Hardware Association’s Annual Conference and Product Showcase is the biggest DPHA event. It attracts nearly 50% of the membership. The annual conference features business and executive training, strategies for enhancing business practices and forums for sharing experiences unique to the DPH industry. The DPHA Product Showcase fills a niche in the industry by providing quality face-to-face opportunities for manufacturers, showrooms and representatives. For manufacturers, the showcase is a chance to educate showrooms. For showrooms, it's a chance to detail expectations, shortcomings and opportunities for improving sales and relationships. It also gives representatives and manufacturers an opportunity to hear what’s important to their customers and why. |
