2017 DPHA Annual Conference and Product Showcase

The 2017 Annual DPHA Conference returns to the beautiful Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, AZ October 11-14, 2017 (20 minutes from the Phoenix Airport). DPHA members that participated in the 2013 conference will recall that the resort is located in the Sonoran Desert on an expanse of rugged Arizona landscape where the ancient vistas, mountains and roaming wild horses remain untouched. The first-class amenities include two 18-hole golf courses, the 17,500 square foot Aji spa, complimentary guest room wireless Internet access, 7 restaurants (including the only five-star restaurant in Phoenix) and 4 bars.

There are 500 rooms and suites with Native American-inspired d├ęcor plus private balconies or terraces. Technology includes a flat screen TV and High Speed Internet Access. The Program and Showcase Committee, under the astute leadership of Gary Erickson (Renaissance Design Studio), Richard Campbell (Belmont Hardware) and Ryan Paul (ThermaSol), are working on once again offering dynamic programs and top-notch speakers who will present customized presentations to meet the specific needs of decorative plumbing and hardware dealers, manufacturers and representatives.       Although the schedule for the 2017 is currently being worked on and has not been published yet, here is a basic outline of the initial schedule, which will be updated as the Program & Showcase Committee finalizes the speakers and agendas:

      Wednesday, October 11th:
  • 1 to 6 p.m. - Golf Outing at the Whirlwind Golf Club (optional activity, fee is $200 per person)
  • 5:30 to 9 p.m. - Arizona Food Tour (optional activity, fee is $175 per person, limited to 30 total participants)

      Thursday, October 12th:
  • 7 a.m. to Noon - Board of Directors Meeting (Pipal Kave)
  • 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. - Exhibitor Move-in (Akimel O'otham Ballroom)
  • 1 to 3 p.m. - Marketing Committee Meeting (Pipal Kave 2)
  • 1 to 3 p.m. - Education Committee Meeting (Pipal Kave 3)

  • Noon to 1:30 p.m. - Awards Luncheon (Pipal Kave: Please note that the Product Showcase is not open for booth tear-down until 1:30 p.m.)
  • 2 to 4:00 p.m. - Five Commandments to be a Customer-Centric Company, presented by Chris Ramey (Komatke DEFG)
  • 1:45 to 5:15 p.m. - Sales Intensive Training Program; Customer Experience - Make Customers Your Most Powerful Weapon, presented by Robb Best (Elkay) and then followed by a round-table session (Scorpion)
  • 7 to 10:30 p.m. - Closing Banquet (Pipal Kave)

      Sunday, October 15th:
