Buster + Punch has joined Be Original Americas—a nonprofit organization committed to protecting authentic design and preventing counterfeit products from undermining the design industry.

Founded in East London and inspired by fashion, music, and subculture, Buster + Punch creates unforgettable hardware, lighting, switches, and furniture that combine solid metals with fashion-forward finishes like smoked bronze, welders black, and signature knurled textures. Each piece in their collection reflects the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship, storytelling, and originality.

“Design isn’t just about how things look—it’s about pushing boundaries and staying true to original ideas,” said Massimo Buster Minale, Founder of Buster + Punch. “Joining Be Original Americas is our way of standing with the designers and makers who innovate, create, and take risks. We’re proud to support a movement that protects the value of authentic design and celebrates the hard work behind every original concept. In today’s market, where counterfeits are everywhere, protecting creativity is more important than ever.”

By aligning with Be Original Americas, Buster + Punch strengthens its mission to uphold the integrity of design and support the creative minds behind original products. The nonprofit works with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to intercept counterfeits and has helped seize over $30 million in illegal goods while safeguarding thousands of American design jobs.

“As a brand, Buster + Punch has always stood for originality and craftsmanship, and partnering with Be Original Americas is a natural extension of that commitment - one that we also share with our DPHA dealer partners so that they can stand behind authentically designed and produced products,” said David Schlocker, President of Buster + Punch. “This membership strengthens our ability to support designers and creatives, as well as the manufacturers who have invested and bring these products to market – as well as continue to pave the way for innovation in the industry. By standing up for original design, we’re not just protecting intellectual property—we’re protecting the future of creativity itself. Over the past several years we have observed several brands taking our signature designs and copying them, and these infringements have noticeably increased in 2024 into this year.  Our global brand holds over 450 design patents and several technical patents, in which we unfortunately must also invest in protecting.”

The collaboration underscores Buster + Punch’s leadership role in advocating for design excellence, while connecting the brand to a broader community of manufacturers, designers, and consumers committed to preserving originality in the interior design industry.
