Hydro Systems Rewrites the Rules of Aging-in-Place With New Freestanding Walk-in Tub.

New Products,

Could this signal the beginning of a new era for accessible bathing? Hydro Systems’ latest launch proves that a bath designed for aging-in-place can still look like a luxury spa.

The company has introduced a first-of-its-kind Freestanding Walk-In Tub to its expanding walk-in tub collection, touting it as “an ideal plug-and-play replacement for a freestanding tub during an aging-in-place primary bath remodel.

Unlike traditional walk-in tubs, the Freestanding Walk-In Tub features a four-sided, seamless skirt with barely noticeable access panels that preserve the sleek look of a standalone bathtub. Convenient faucet and drain connections offer specifiers greater installation flexibility. Beneath its high-design exterior, a low step-in threshold and integrated grab bars provide a safer entry and exit. The entire experience can be fully customized with premium Whirlpool and Thermal Air hydrotherapy systems, while specifiers can also add Hydro Blanket technology to keep bathers warm and comfortable as the vessel fills.

With roughly 75% of Americans over 50 prioritizing aging-in-place design, this launch enables showrooms to attract clients who want to maintain the spa-like atmosphere of their primary baths without sacrificing the safety benefits of a walk-in tub.
