LAUFEN Introduces VITREON Steel, Blending Strength and Refined Design.

New Products,

LAUFEN is expanding its material palette with VITREON Steel, a new material that combines the strength of steel with the refinement of glaze to create durable, visually striking bathroom solutions.

By fusing steel and glaze into an inseparable bond, VITREON Steel delivers a smooth, glass-like surface with the strength and durability of steel. The material introduces darker tones, metallic warmth, and architectural character to the bathroom, giving designers a versatile new way to bring depth and richness to a space.

A high-temperature firing process creates a pore-free surface that is hygienic and easy to maintain while resisting microorganisms, dirt, corrosion, scratches, and fading. Despite its strength, VITREON Steel is remarkably thin and lightweight, with basin walls measuring just 1.5 to 3 millimeters. This allows for refined profiles and bold architectural forms without sacrificing durability.

Designed and manufactured in Switzerland to LAUFEN's quality standards, VITREON Steel is also designed to coordinate seamlessly with the brand's furniture collections, creating opportunities for cohesive bathroom environments through complementary surfaces, colors, and tactile effects.

The material is featured across several LAUFEN collections, including TENDO, with its angled, sculptural form; RIVO, which balances functional strength with a distinctive surface aesthetic; and NIB, a sleek floating basin designed as a statement piece. Additional VITREON Steel offerings include TRICOLOR, AQUA AND TERRA, and PICCOLO NOVO, each bringing its own interpretation of form and function to the material.
