Project Sales Representative @ Weaver Hardware (Washington, DC)
W.T. WEAVER & SONS — GEORGETOWN, WASHINGTON, D.C.
Project Sales Representative Decorative Plumbing & Architectural Hardware
Full-time | Georgetown, D.C. | Project Sales | Luxury / Trade
ABOUT THE COMPANY
W.T. Weaver & Sons is a fifth-generation, family-owned business with over 135 years of history at the heart of Georgetown. We are a premier, appointment-only showroom specializing in luxury decorative plumbing and architectural hardware, serving Washington D.C.'s leading architects, interior designers, and custom builders. Our reputation is built on unmatched product knowledge, long-standing client relationships, and a standard of service that the trade relies on.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a relationship-driven project sales role with a clear competitive advantage: you are stepping into an established book of business. There is no cold calling, no territory to build from scratch. The clients, the reputation, and the pipeline are already here. Your job is to manage and grow these existing relationships — guiding clients through product selection, building proposals, and seeing projects through from specification to delivery.
This role requires someone who is genuinely self-directed. As a small, family-run business, we don’t operate with layers of corporate infrastructure. The right candidate will thrive in that environment — organized, entrepreneurial, and motivated to build something of their own within an institution that has stood for over a century.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage and deepen relationships with an existing roster of architects, interior designers, and custom builders
- Guide clients through product specification and selection across our full decorative plumbing and hardware range
- Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, and order documentation with accuracy and care
- Track and manage multiple active projects simultaneously, owning each from specification through delivery
- Coordinate with vendors and internal team members to ensure timely, accurate fulfillment
- Identify opportunities to expand relationships and grow revenue within the existing client base
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in a related field — decorative plumbing, architectural hardware, luxury building products, interior design, or a trade-facing showroom environment strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage long-cycle, project-based sales with multiple stakeholders
- Polished, professional communication style — written and in-person — befitting a high-end clientele
- Exceptionally organized, with strong self-management habits; able to run your own workflow without hand-holding
- A genuine eagerness to learn the product and the business deeply — not just enough to sell, but enough to advise
- Familiarity with architectural plans or design drawings is a plus
- Comfortable operating in a small-business environment where initiative and ownership are valued over process
