Showroom Manager @ Chown Hardware (Seattle, WA)

SUMMARY 

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of showroom performance including meeting sales objectives, training and developing staff, and delivering exceptional customer service by performing the following duties. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Recruits, trains, develops and retains sales staff. 
• Oversees day-to-day operations of luxury plumbing, lighting, and hardware showroom. 
• Drives sales performance results. 

JOB DUTIES 

• Recruits new showroom sales and support staff. Owns the new hire onboarding process to train staff in systems, processes, technical expertise, and product knowledge. 
• Oversees the professional development of sales staff, including luxury training techniques, scheduling product training sessions with vendors, and change management related to evolving processes and procedures. 
• Establishes, communicates, and motivates the sales staff to achieve individual and team goals related to sales, gross profit margin, quote activity, and other relevant metrics. 
• Establishes, models, and manages expectations for the customer experience. Handles customer escalations in a timely manner and involves senior leadership, as needed. 
• Coaches sales staff who are not meeting performance expectations, develops and executes on improvement plans, as needed. 
• Ensures appropriate staffing levels to meet customer service expectations, manages time and attendance, allocates customer/project accounts, and partners with management to provide additional support. 
• Partners with marketing and brand management to ensure consistent showroom display aesthetic. 
• Works with key stakeholders to evaluate existing brand offers, new product opportunities, and industry trends in order to optimize product offering. 
• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance. 
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. 
• Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers and coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure. 
• Respectfully takes direction from Supervisor. 
• Other duties as assigned.
