SIMAS Wins the 2026 iF Design Award for the HOP Collection.

SIMAS has won the 2026 iF DESIGN AWARD one of the most prestigious and coveted awards in the world of design, for the HOP washbasin, designed by the Simas Design Team.

Presented by iF International Forum Design GmbH, a historic independent institution that has been active for over 70 years, the award is an international symbol of quality, innovation, and design value.

Awarded in the Product Design discipline, category 1.22 Bathroom, the HOP washbasin—available in a wall-mounted or countertop version—stood out among over 10,000 entries from 68 countries. This result tells a story of passion and continuous pursuit of excellence and highlights the design strength and ability to interpret the bathroom space in a contemporary way.

Cheerful, youthful, compact, and functional, HOP represents a real leap forward in design. The concept stems from the difference in height between the tap surface and the countertop: a detail that creates a “storage slot” and a functional base protected by a deliberately high edge, combining aesthetics and practicality. The dialogue between form and function expands the interior space, enhancing the plasticity and three-dimensionality of the volume. On the outside, the washbasin appears as a parallelepiped with clean lines, straight walls, and rounded corners.; internally, however, the surfaces are softened by more generous curves, creating a harmonious balance between solidity and lightness. The international jury of 129 independent experts was won over by HOP's strong distinctive personality and by the concept behind the project, which expresses an advanced vision of the contemporary bathroom, where innovation, sensitivity, and attention to detail come together in an authentic experience. This award is testament not only to the extremely high level of competition, but also to SIMAS's ability to transform matter into emotion. The iF DESIGN AWARD is not just a prize, it is confirmation of a journey of research, dedication, and design culture, capable of speaking to the world in a universal language.
